Barbara Ann Corcoran

 Barbara Ann Corcoran is an American businesswoman from America. In 2001, she founded The Corcoran Group in New York City. She later sold the business to NRT for $66 millions. Then, shortly after she resigned from the company. Corcoran is among ABC's first Shark Tank investors. To date she has appeared in each season of Shark Tank. Corcoran had signed 53 contracts until February 2020. The biggest deal she signed was her investment of $350,000 into Coverplay with a 40% stake. Corcoran is the second of 10 children from a working-class Irish-Catholic family was born in Edgewater in New Jersey. Florence, Corcoran's mother, was a homemaker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. was her father. He was constantly moving from one job to the next during Corcoran's early years. The family relied on free food deliveries from the local grocer. Corcoran recalls her father as someone who drank occasionally and was rude to her mother. Corcoran was a struggle throughout her education and later discovered that she had dyslexia. She attended an area Catholic elementary school and started the high school system at St. Cecilia High School in Englewood. Corcoran was a failure in many classes during her first year of high school, was moved to Leonia High School. There, she received a D.
