Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki is a American political advisor who was the 34th White House news secretary between 2021 and 221. She is a part of the Democratic Party and previously served as the White House deputy Press Secretary (2009) and the White House deputy Communications Director (2009-2011), the spokesperson for the US Department of State (2013-15) and the White House communications direct (2015-17). Psaki was a contributor to political campaigns to CNN from 2017 to 2020. Psaki began her career as an Iowa Democratic senator, Tom Harkin, and then became the governor of Iowa. Psaki later served as the press secretary deputy for John Kerry's 2004 presidential election campaign. Psaki served from 2005 to 2006 as communications director to Joseph Crowley, U.S. representative, as well as as the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki was appointed the press secretary of President Obama's 2012 presidential election campaign. 20 years ago, Psaki was appointed the spokesperson for the United States Department of State. Her appointment in the Department of State fueled speculation that she could replace White House Press Secretary Jay Carney after he left the White House on May 30, 2014, it was announced that Josh Earnest would replace Carney. She returned to the White House in 2015 as the director of communications, and she was there until the closing of the Obama presidency.
